I work collaboratively with Carnival Cruise Line and our internal creative teams to produce annual cruise books in regions visited by Carnival ships. I write some copy but mostly manage staff and freelance writers, editors and proofreaders.

The process of creating special editions for our partners is the same as with any other publication. I gather ideas from Onboard Media creative teams, propose content to the client, hire writers, edit copy, approve editorial treatments in design and get the client to approve the final published work.
For these books, however, I feel a special obligation to present the client’s story in the most engaging and appealing way, because the books are likely to be displayed with pride for years to come.
